This session provides a focused examination of the evolving legal, regulatory, and clinical challenges facing pediatric and neonatal clinicians. Topics include conflicting vaccine recommendations, the tension between federal and state guidance, and emerging issues in consent language. Faculty will review current and anticipated investigations and litigation, including high‑profile cases involving the AAP, Children’s Health Defense, Texas NCI matters. Faculty will also review the expanding landscape of NEC‑related claims & recent “nuclear verdicts,” trends driving escalating jury awards, and the potential impact of state‑level caps. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the risks shaping today’s healthcare environment and the implications for future practice.
