Children's HealthCare Network joined Pediatrix Medical Group in September 2009 and now provides hospital pediatric services as part of Pediatrix Medical Group of Nevada and other affiliated Pediatrix practices.
Our group of hospital-based pediatric physicians and sub-specialists are dedicated to providing the highest quality inpatient care at children's hospitals and pediatric facilities. Our commitment to enhancing the continuity of patient care includes availability of our services 24/7 with in-house coverage in our busiest centers; open communication with patients, families and referring physicians; and education to families, medical residents, students and nursing staff.
Our practices employ some of the most talented pediatric critical care physicians, hospitalists and emergency medicine specialists in the country, making it one of the foremost leaders in pediatric hospital-based medicine in the western United States. Founded in 1996, our mission was to provide hospitals with the highest quality pediatric care in the intensive care unit (ICU). The practice evolved not only to provide ICU care but became a leading provider of pediatric hospitalist services at several children's hospitals. In 1998, we expanded our network to include emergency medicine services based on the success and vision of our ICU practice. This allowed us to provide a continuum of care from the front door of a hospital through the inpatient care areas. In 2002, we further expanded our practice network capabilities to incorporate and maximize the synergies of all the pediatric operations. The vision remains the same, medical excellence for the ill or injured child in the hospital.
